I Guess I'm It.

You all know how I feel about meme's however this one is a pretty cool idea and someone thought enough of me to tag me so here goes.

What ten events would you care to witness if you could travel in time and observe them.

10. When man harnessed fire.
9. The drafting of the U.S. Constitution.
8. Bobby Orr's game winning goal(hockey fans know the one of which I speak. Unfortunately it sealed the fate of my beloved Blues).
7. Appomattox Court House.
6. My parents' wedding(they are divorced but I would have loved to see how they were, because I don't remember them together. I love both families I have been blessed to be a part of since their divorce).
5. The birth of my nephew.
4. Man's first hunt(I would love to know how we stopped scavenging).
3. Columbus "discovering" the New World.
2. The true Adam and Eve(evolution has always been one of my favorite subjects and I would love to see the first "humans").
1. Creation/Big Bang.

There it is. Anyone who wishes to do this one, please take it and let me know so I can see what interests you.

During that time, if the Europeans hadn't raped and pillaged it, it was new to them. So Chris Columbus kind of did "discover" the New World.
As for witnessing the Big Bang. I think it was just God snapping his fingers when he came up with the idea of the Universe. And that snapping was heard as a BOOM!

Pammy, note the quotation marks and the pic I used for Columbus.

LB, I think it came from something so tiny and is continuing to expand this instant, but, God definitely had something to do with it. I never heard it put that way though.

Big Joe, I wish I could have that on my list but since it hasn't happened yet, I chose seeing the man who made my position what it is today scoring a cup goal on my team. Just so happens it is one of the most famous goals in hockey.

Kay Ray, I agree totally but now rape and pillage too. I was just wondering when our inteligence got the best of us.

I'm impressed that you didn't allude to ol' Chris "discovering America" since there isn't really any evidence he made it to this continent. The West Indies and Panama, for sure.

Besides, the Vikings and, if you believe Tim Severin) St. Brendan beat him to it.

Notice the "New World" part of the comment. I would have loved to see that man confuse the tribes of the caribean with east indians.

There were no 7-Elevens at the time... So I understand his confusion in seeing dark people and thinking he was in Asia. Had there been 7-Elevens then, he would have looked around, seen none, and gone, "hmmm... These aren't Indian Indians." :p
