What?

I woke up this morning thinking, "Van Halen."

"Is this what you wanted, Sammy Hagar?"

Why?

I have to disagree with Duff - I prefer Sammy... but to each their own :-)

I guess I am old school. I am a big fan of the David Lee Roth years. I take shit for this all the time so bring it on.

Duff: I've got your back. I'm also firmly in the Diamond Dave camp. Hell of a showman, and batshit crazy to boot. Plus, Van Halen just rocked so much harder back then.

Larry: At least it wasn't "POISON IS STILL A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH IN THE MIDWEST!!!" So suck it up. It could have been so much worse...

Duff: I actually went to see VH3 in concert with my ex and best friend. The guy definitely sucked but he did pull off the Dave songs pretty well.

K, Dani: I guess if I had to choose, I would also choose The Red Rocker myself, but, not by much, I just prefer more mellow music and that was sammy's watch.

Dougie, E, Steph: Even with what I just said I don't disagree with you guys cuz when it comes to rockin with van halen Diamond Dave is the man.

Steph: Nowhere in my dream did Rod Stewart start to like me. And well, one out of 2 faceless yelling men can't be wrong.

Funny thing about the post is that it was actually the song van halen by Nerf Herder going through my head.

I agree that Gary Cherone was a square peg in a narrow slot. NOT a good fit.

I like VH with Roth and with Hagar, but for different reasons. Hagar was more of a musician than Roth, so he brought a really different dimension to the band that, for my $0.02, really kicked them up a notch.

ah, a poison reference......

i'm not ashamed to admit they're my favorite hair band. *sigh*

M: Yes GC was horrible

R: Agreed, someone needs to give eddie a partial lobotemy and remove the ego but keep the guitarist, then one of the 2 good VH would be able to reunite

D: It was a poison reference, but, only in so much as it proves my sister is completely and utterly nuts. Hell she thinks rod stewart hates me, and couldn't recognize an english accent to save her life.

But, of all the hair bands I would also have to pick poison, which almost proves her subconcious right.

Oooh Poison. I still have their cds and a acidwash bolero jean jacket that has "Pure Poison" painted on the back. They were fun.
